Kako bi to bilo mogu\u0107e potrebno je razviti printer koji omogu\u0107ava direktno printanje alignera adekvatno debele stjenke, bez kori\u0161tenja potpornog materijala. Osim toga istra\u017eivat \u0107e se razli\u010dite kombinacije biokompatibilnog materijala koje utje\u010du na mehani\u010dka svojstva kona\u010dnog alignera jer upravo zbog toga direktno printani aligner nije jo\u0161 za\u017eivio u klini\u010dkoj primjeni. Taj materijal mora zadovoljavati vi\u0161e uvjeta: mora biti biokompatibilan, proziran i mora imati optimalna mehani\u010dka i fizikalna svojstva. Uz ove dvije komponente potrebno je napraviti opse\u017eno laboratorijsko testiranje, a nakon toga klini\u010dko ispitivanje direktno printanog alignera.
